At Cloud Wander Studios, we build immersive worlds, transforming them into unforgettable tales, experiences, and games.
Our first creation is Tales of Skyland, a grounded fantasy saga set in a land both harsh and beautiful, where stories are not about perfect endings, but about how trials shape those who endure them.
How it Started
Cloud Wander Studios began in 2023 with me, Ronald Fersula, and my wife, imagining worlds together. She would bring me ideas, and I would expand them into stories, characters, and places.
Skyland itself reaches further back. It began as a tale I first wrote as a teenager, and over the years, we refined it into the world it is now, grounded, harsh, real, and beautiful. A place where stories aren’t about perfect endings or heroes, but about how trials and challenges shape those who face them.
I started this studio to share those creations, collaborating with artists, voice actors, and musicians to bring Skyland to life across books, games, audio dramas, and more.
Our Vision
At Cloud Wander Studios, we create worlds that feel alive. Our stories and games are grounded, emotionally real, and built to avoid tired fantasy clichés. Skyland is our first step, a place shaped by choice, struggle, and beauty.
Our vision goes further. In a world full of technology, we believe true creativity comes only from human minds. Worlds like Skyland exist because of the passion and skill of artists, writers, musicians, and voice actors. No machine can replace that.
We want Cloud Wander Studios to stand as proof that human creativity still matters, building experiences across books, games, and audio that can inspire curiosity and stay with you long after the story ends.
Where It’s Going
As the world of Skyland grew, so did its form. By 2025, Cloud Wander Studios expanded into new formats to bring the story to life across:
A narrative-driven, card-based RPG for 1–4 players. Journey across Skyland to hunt lost Skyshards, resist corruption, and challenge Drako, the void-bringer who threatens to consume the realm.
A free sandbox RPG with character sheets, codex, and campaign books. Built for long campaigns with simple rules.
A grounded fantasy series about flawed characters, hard choices, and the quiet power of resistance.
A fully voiced acting adaptation with immersive sound design and original soundtrack.
A visual retelling, panel by panel, of Skyland’s story, beginning with the Seven Souls who sealed away a great evil.
We are collaborating with artists, voice actors, and a growing community to bring Skyland to life. This is only the beginning.
